Recognize This House? It’s For Sale

• May 30, 2009

fryehouse300Take a look at this garage to the left.  Does it look familiar to you?  Chances are that if you are between the ages of 25 and 45 it does.

It’s for sale.  In fact, the entire house is.

370 Beech Street in Highland Park, IL is the address.  The asking price for this 4 bedroom, 4 bath house is $2.3 million dollars.  That’s a lot more than a fry cook on Venus can afford.

If you are going to go take a look, I recommend taking a limo out to visit.  A nice stretch job with TV’s and a bar.  If you are worried about the mileage, just drive home backwards.

Sweet. It's the house from “Ferris Bueller's Day Off”. (hey, i knew this and i'm 57! ……but then, i'm special.) If the car comes with it, I'll take the house. Two other “movie houses” I like are: 1 – “Giant” – huge house with a great porch, + lots of land, and not to mention, James Dean (as Jett Rink) is a neighbor. Liz T. & Rock H. lived there. Oh yeah, Dennis Hopper was one of their kids in the movie.

# 2 – ” The Limey” – a great movie, a sleeper, maybe one of Terrence Stamp's best, not including “The Collector”. The house I want belongs to the character ( and he IS a character) that Peter Fonda plays. Swell swimming pool.
